This week, 'The Nest' made a wonderful painting to display at Burton Bradstock St Mary’s church over the Remembrance weekend.
The children worked from left to right using rollers to paint the background, grass and sky, in one long motion. They then used rulers to stamp the blades of grass before using their thumb and index finger to print the poppies. The local community enjoyed having it for the Sunday service of Rememberence..

Every Wednesday we go Welly Walking. Each week we take different routes, enjoy our local community and the fabulous natural environment around us. We often visit our forest school area and after Christmas will also be having a Forest School session every Friday.

On Tuesdays we Bake!

Cooking with the children provides so many opportunities for developing skills and knowledge.
Reading recipes, measuring ingredients using our Mathematics, following instructions, collaborating, listening, problem solving to name just a few! Not forgetting that we have such fun and enjoy the experience.
We often share our goods together at snack time and if the grownups are lucky, some gets to come home.

Our very first Welly Walk of the year!

The rain did not dampen our enjoyment and we even took our class pet 'Patty' the pig.
