Forest School Club

Forest School Club Week One:  Mrs Legg had a group of KS2 children for half an hour in the library.  Today we introduced ourselves and created some drawings on Minecraft figures and created special characters from the game of drawing a head, pass it on, then drawing the body, pass it on and then the feet!  The two special characters were comical.  They made the children laugh!  Mrs Legg and the children discussed their interests and came up with a plan for next week's session:  Leaf Rubbing and leaf exploration.  The children focused well throughout the session and fun was had.  Well done

Forest School Club Week Two:  Mrs Legg had a group of KS2 children for half an hour in the library.  Today the children completed leaf rubbings with homemade charcoal and calico fabric.  The rubbings included a variety of leaves including the special "Gingko Tree" leaves collected from opposite the School.  The children focused well throughout the session and fun was had.  Well done.

After School Club

The children at after school club completed calico and charcoal leaf rubbings, wooden pendant and key fob designed discs as gifts for family members and Mrs Legg showed the children how to make wooden spinners.  Due to the changeable weather ASC was in the School Hall today.  Hope the weather brightens up for next week so we can go outside!!

W/C 14th October     The children at after school club completed Fairy Fires and enjoyed the mission of keeping the small fire going with small kindling collected from the FS Site.  Mrs Legg and the children were pleased to have the weather to go outside this week.  Mrs Legg was grateful for Reggie's help in pulling the "Trolley Dolly" back to school at the end of the session.
